Step1
Shoes – Think no one will be looking at your feet? Well, they probably won’t if the shoes you’re wearing are the same color as your cloths. But if you are planning to wear versatile colors (like black) choose to wear some brighter shoes that will give your outfit a touch of vividness. The shoes you choose for your wardrobe have the potential to take an otherwise boring outfit from being blah to the envy of every other girl in the office.
Step2
Purses – While we don’t recommend going out and purchasing the latest Coach purse unless you can afford it, your purse choices can make or break your outfit. How many times have you just grabbed the nearest available purse when running out the door? Yeah, we have too. But taking a little bit of extra time to coordinate your purse with your outfit will instantly add some fashion points to your outfit, making people admire your ability to match everything about your attire so perfectly.
Step3
Jewelry – While not every girl can afford to have diamonds as her best friend, most of us can find some creative ways to use the jewelry we already have to dress up our outfits. If you have a dark colored outfit, consider using some chunky gold jewelry to spice it up. If you have a brightly colored outfit, consider using some dainty jewelry that won’t make your outfit look like it’s in overdrive. Also don’t use too many pieces of jewelry to accessorize; if you have one necklace and a few bracelets, stop there. Or, if you have some stunning earrings, they might be enough to take your outfit from frumpy to fabulous.
Step4
Hats – Unless you have a job that allows you to wear hats, you might need to reserve sprucing up your outfits with a fun or sophisticated hat for the times that you’re outside of work. If you’re wearing a track suit or gym clothes, consider finding a neural baseball cap that will match your outfit but still makes a statement. If you’re going to be wearing a funky dress, consider dressing it up with a fedora or a beret made out of a soft material. Or if you’re wearing an all black ensemble, choose a hat that’s a different color, such as a plum or olive green.
Step5
Pins – Pins are not just for your grandma anymore; in recent years, pins have been coming back in full force. So stop by your local jewelry store or local Goodwill and find some pins that you like. Or, if you want to get crafty, consider converting and old clip-on earring into a pin that you can wear on a blouse or a scarf.
